Situated just 2km from the town of Martel, Les Seguines offers exceptionally high quality accommodation in a peaceful location with private heated pool and lovely outdoor kitchen and dining area.
Accommodation The house is on two floors with the spacious open plan living/ dining room and fully fitted kitchen on the 1st floor. From the front door stone steps lead up to the living area which is beautifully furnished in light colours and offers lovely views over the surrounding countryside. Here you will find english satellite TV and radio, and there is WIFI internet access throughout the property. The large dining table comfortably seats 8, and the fully fitted kitchen at the opposite end of the room is Two bedrooms, one double and one twin, are on the ground floor. The master bedroom has large french doors onto the terrace, and both have been designed to offer maximum comfort with built in wardrobe space and en-suite shower rooms with italian fitiings. The beds in the twin bedroom can easily be
put together to give a double bed, and there is a third separate toilet in the entrance hall to avoid having to go through the bedrooms every time.
Outdoor facilities
The gardens have been beautifully landscaped and terraced with every attention to detail. One of the old barn areas has been cleverly renovated to offer a complete outdoor kitchen and dining area- al fresco eating with plenty of shade from the midday sun. There is a cooker, fridge, dishwasher, barbeque and washing up area, as well as complete set of crockery and cutlery so you never have to wander too far from the pool whether for a snack or 4 course meal!
Martel is a lively town with many restaurants, bars, twice weekly market and numerous events in the summer. Known as the town of 7 towers, it dates back to the 11th century and is an ancient capital of the Viscomte de Turenne. Just 5km from the river Dordogne, this is the ideal base to discover this wonderful region. Prices for 2010:
Payement accepted by bank transfer or cheque in both UK pounds and euros, as well as by credit card. Please note that although we do not surcharge deposit payments, we are obliged to surcharge final payments made by credit card by 1.5%. Prices are per week, inclusive of linen, towels, water, electricity and gas. We reserve the right to levy a surcharge if you require central heating or firewood. Babysitting, welcome hamper, cook and maid service are all available on request. The English owner welcomes you on arrival and occasionally stays overnight in her separate apartment, leaving you in complete privacy for the rest of your stay.  |
