On the edge of a quiet hamlet, originally a guard outpost for the Chateau of Turenne, and extended into a manor house in the 18th century, this spacious 5 bedroom house has been lovingly transformed into a comfortable home suffused with light and taking full advantage of the stunning views of the valley below. Well furnished with several french antique pieces, private pool and large lawned gardens, Montagnac makes an ideal location for all the family Accommodation details Entered through a stone-walled courtyard, accommodation is on 2 floors, with three of the five bedrooms on the ground floor.
Ground floor Tall oak front doors bring you into the double height entry hall with flagstone floor. The immense (700 sq ft) living room, which runs two thirds of the length of the house, has sofas grouped around the stone fireplace where you will find TV, DVD and CD player. At the other end of the living room french doors lead out to the terrace, a lovely spot to relax with an aperitif at the end of the day, and further The three bedrooms are situated at the other end of the house; two twin bedrooms share a family bathroom with large walk in shower, cast-iron bath and period basin, the double bedroom with queen size (160cm) bed has an en-suite shower room. There is also a seperate toilet on this level.
Up the oak staircase from the hall are two further bedrooms, both enjoying stunning views over the countryside . The master bedroom has a queen size (160cm) bed and en-suite bathroom with extra large shower , while the twin bedroom also has an en-suite shower room.
Other facilities
The house is situated in the small hamlet of Montagnac just 1.5km from the village and Chateau of Cavagnac, parts of which date back to the 11th century. Les Quatres Routes du Lot, 3km away, offers all the local shops as well as a small supermarket, cafes and restaurants and weekly produce markets. Prices and availability

Stone steps lead down from the house terrace to the large secluded garden, with an extensive lawn ideal for games. The private 10m x 5m pool looks out over the valley, and there is an outdoor eating area with large teak table and chairs as well as an outdoor barbeque.
